On the occasion of Frieze London 2023, Almine Rech will showcase mostly new artworks by artists who push the boundaries of painting, showcasing innovative currents and expansive explorations.
The booth will feature recent works by a diverse group of artists, including Joël Andrianomearisoa, Oliver Beer, Szabolcs Bozó, Javier Calleja, Brian Calvin, Gordon Cheung, Ha Chong-Hyun, Paul de Flers, Jonathan Gardner, Mehdi Ghadyanloo, Alexandre Lenoir, José Lerma, Ted Pim, Umar Rashid, Vaughn Spann, Vivian Springford, Phyllis Stephens, Claire Tabouret, Brent Wadden, Amanda Wall, Chloe Wise and Ji Xin. Representing a mix of established, mid-career, and emerging talents, these artists will each contribute unique perspectives and artistic visions.
Through their artistic practices, the selected artists delve into the intricacies of visual language, drawing inspiration from a wide array of sources. Renowned for their masterful use of illustrious colour, these artists skillfully create vibrant scenes that oscillate between abstraction and figuration, inviting viewers into captivating visual narratives.
