Art Brussels 2026

Apr 24 — 26, 2026 | Booth 5C-06

Brussels Expo, Hall 5
Place de Belgique 1, 1020 Brussels, Belgium

Almine Rech is pleased to participate in Art Brussels with a presentation  that brings together  artists whose practices explore perception, memory, and the transformation of images across different media.

A highlight of the booth is a selection of works by Ali Cherri, whose practice investigates the political and emotional layers of landscapes, artifacts, and monuments. Cherri’s work will be the subject of two major institutional exhibitions this autumn: a solo exhibition at WIELS in Brussels opening in September, followed by a presentation at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris in October.

The selection also features a monumental watercolor by Hans Op de Beeck, anticipating the artist’s forthcoming solo exhibition at Almine Rech Brussels in September 2026. The booth will include works by Laurie Simmons, bringing together photographs from her seminal 1976 dollhouse series—early explorations of domestic space and cultural archetypes—with a recent work on silk from 2025 that revisits these motifs through the lens of AI-generated imagery.

Works by Alexandre Lenoir, whose solo exhibition recently opened at the Musée de l’Orangerie in Paris this March 2026, and by Joël Andrianomearisoa, recently nominated for the Prix Marcel Duchamp 2026, are also highlighted within the presentation. The booth also includes works by Tom Wesselmann, whose bold compositions remain a defining reference in the history of postwar American painting.

Additional works on view include a Resonance Painting by Oliver Beer, a new Ceramic Moon from Johan Creten’s recent series, and a small-format Conjunction painting by Ha Chong-Hyun, whose solo exhibition will open at Almine Rech Brussels in April 2026.

The presentation further includes a painting and a sculpture by Ji Xin, Mehdi Ghadyanloo’s sculptural work The Luminous Loop, Li Qing’s Tatlin’s Dream, and a painting from Heinz Mack’s Chromatic Constellation series. The booth is complemented by works from Dylan Solomon Kraus, Dustin Yellin (Pliny the Younger), Petra Cortright, whose solo exhibition at Almine Rech Brussels will open in November 2026, as well as Javier Calleja, whose upcoming exhibition at Almine Rech Paris will open in June 2026.
