For the 2026 edition of Art Basel Paris, Almine Rech is pleased to announce a curated group show of exceptional works by the gallery’s represented artists and estates. The booth will feature thought-provoking associations that transcend generational, geographical, and aesthetic boundaries.
Pablo Picasso, Alexander Calder, Leonora Carrington, Tom Wesselmann, Ha Chong-Hyun, Kim Tschang-Yeul, Serge Poliakoff, John Giorno, Taryn Simon, Ali Cherri, Oliver Beer, Johan Creten, Joël Andrianomearisoa, Thu-Van Tran, Francesco Vezzoli, Christopher Le Brun, Keita Morimoto, Youngju Joung, Ji Xin, and Carlos Jacanamijoy, among others, will be featured—with works spanning painting, sculpture, mixed media, and photography—as well as a public installation of a major Robert Indiana sculpture.
Our booth will spotlight gallery artists with major Parisian projects running concurrently with the fair. We will present The Forbidden Fruit, a series of sculptures by Ali Cherri, whose solo exhibition ‘TODAY IS OK’ will be on view at the Palais de Tokyo from October 2026 to February 2027. We will also feature Joël Andrianomearisoa, a finalist for the 2026 Prix Marcel Duchamp, whose work will be shown alongside that of his fellow nominees in an exhibition opening at the Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris on October 2, 2026. Finally, French artist Claire Tabouret will be included in this group show. Tabouret won the competition to design new stained-glass windows for Notre-Dame de Paris, which are set to be unveiled by the end of 2026.
A work by Thu-Van Tran will be on display. This fall, her solo exhibition ‘Write As Beasts Scream at Night,’ is on view at KINDL, Berlin, Germany. Simultaneously, the artist is featured in two other major French exhibitions: the 18th Lyon Biennale and ‘Moteur Imaginaire,’ the inaugural exhibition of the new contemporary art center Large, on the Île Seguin in Boulogne-Billancourt, France.
Robert Indiana referenced and reappropriated the power of symbols and language, revealing truths about a collective American identity while also drawing on his own inner world. As part of Art Basel Paris’s public program, Almine Rech will present LOVE Wall, a monumental sculpture that transposes one of Indiana’s seminal motifs onto a grand scale. During the fair, the artist’s first monographic exhibition with the gallery will be on view.
Untitled, c. 1940, is a standing mobile by Alexander Calder. The kinetic work which also produces sound embodies the American artist’s interest in movement and equilibrium. Calder bridged the twentieth-century avant-garde scenes of America and Europe, creating a body of work that united the traditionally opposed arts of painting and sculpture.
Taryn Simon’s One Little Room on Fire, 2026, comes from the artist’s latest body of work, featured in the Guggenheim New York exhibition ‘Taryn Simon: Father Country I Do Love You’. On view from September 2026 to March 2027, the show marks the first monographic exhibition by a photography-based artist staged in the rotunda, and the largest debut of new work in the foundation’s history.
John Giorno created Dial-A-Poem at The Architectural League of New York in 1968. Conceived as a public service, the project was a way of making poetry more accessible. December 4, 2026 marks 90 years since the birth of the American poet, performance artist, and activist. DIAL-A-POEM (Push-Button Edition), 1968–2019, encapsulates Giorno’s artistic vision, with its emphasis on collaboration and free expression — a philosophy that feels more pertinent today than ever.
