Art Monte-Carlo

On the occasion of Art Monte-Carlo 2026, Almine Rech is delighted to present a group exhibition featuring artworks by the gallery’s represented artists and estates.

The selection of works highlights the individual artistic language of each artist, reunited around a unifying theme: color. A nod to the arrival of spring and the vivid landscape of the Mediterranean, the exhibition celebrates the many ways color manifests across diverse mediums, styles, and artistic expressions.  

The presentation will include works by Joël Andrianomearisoa, George Condo, Sasha Ferré, Genieve Figgis, John Giorno, Peter Halley, Gregor Hildebrandt, Minjung Kim, Gwen O’Neil, José Lerma, Heinz Mack, Li Qing, Ryan Schneider, Turi Simeti, Vivian Springford, Genesis Tramaine, Thu-Van Tran, Francesco Vezzoli, Tom Wesselmann and Chloe Wise. 

Heinz Mack will be highlighted with a selection of works that exemplify the German artist’s long-standing fascination with the interplay of light and color. In 1991 Mack began his Chromatic Constellation series, exploring color theory to create rich, vibrant work. The presented ceramics and pastels continue his enduring search for beauty through color. 

This presentation can perhaps best be described by Heinz Mack himself: “A color can have several meanings. However, its virtual objectification, i.e., its intrinsic energy, is achieved when it strikes its own vibration; that is its life, its breath.”
