Art & Craft: Joël Andrianomearisoa

Almine Rech is pleased to present a solo exhibition of multidisciplinary Malagasy French artist Joël Andrianomearisoaas part of the Art & Craft focus at Art Paris, entrusted to Nicolas Trembley, art critic and independent curator

The theme of Art & Craft, which borrows its title from the pioneering Arts and Crafts Movement that emerged in the United Kingdom at the end of the 19th century, looks at the way in which both modern and contemporary artists have invested and continue to invest in the field of craft skills (ceramics, glass, tapestry, etc.), linking gesture to thought.
A selection of 20 international artists was made from among the participating galleries, leading to a thematic tour of the fair and the writing of a text presenting the work of each artist selected.
The gallery will feature three tapestries and two sculptures by Joël Andrianomearisoa.
