Almine Rech

Art Genève 2023

January 25 – 29, 2023 ∣ Booth B23

For Art Genève 2023, Almine Rech Gallery is pleased to present a selection of works by 23 established and emerging artists of our program.

In keeping with the gallery’s aesthetic direction, the display will focus on paintings, sculptures and works on paper of high quality — from abstract and minimal to more figurative — with the main concern being the material plane and surface treatment.
We will be focusing on the cultural diversity of our program. Giving particular emphasis to multicultural artists – such as the estate of Cuban artist Agustín Cárdenas, Korean abstract masters such as Ha Chong-Hyun and Kim Tschang-Yeul, Flemish sculptor Johan Creten, French painter Alexandre Lenoir and the German painter Jenny Brosinski – we additionally wish to focus on how these artists from different backgrounds and generations express the sensibilities and strengths of their individual approaches to artistic creation. Moreover, we ask how they treat notions of memory and the rethinking of history.

On this occasion and for the first time at Art Genève, we will focus on the American artist Jameson Green, whose works are steeped in history and references to Goya and Picasso.

We will also show works by Karel AppelOliver BeerJean-Baptiste BernadetGordon CheungPaul de FlersMehdi GhadyanlooDaniel GibsonCarlos JacanamijoyMinjung KimJohn McAllisterTed Pim, Kenny Scharf, Thu Van TranTursic & MilleFrancesco Vezzoli and Zio Ziegler.
