The gallery will keep its address at 18 Avenue Matignon in the 8th Arrondissement in Paris. The expansion is set to take place in early September.
The extension of the gallery symbolizes Almine Rech’s ambition to keep growing in the French capital in a community that has been instrumental in shaping the gallery since its inception in 1997. The addition to the existing space will be located in the elegant Haussmann building and will provide greater visibility to the roster of international artists the gallery represents.

In her figurative paintings, drawings and sculptures, Claire Tabouret scrutinizes identity and takes a closer look at childhood and its enigmas, the individual isolated or within a group. Sometimes covered, made up or disguised, children and women with mute faces stand upright in front of the viewer like frozen frames.
