Kenny Scharf at Art Production Fund's Art Sundae
From October 10, 2026, at 10 am | Rockefeller Center, New York, NY, US
Almine Rech announces that Kenny Scharf will lead Art Sundae, Art Production Fund's public art-making workshop, at Rockefeller Center, New York, NY, US every Saturday in October, starting October 10, 2026, from 10 am to 12 pm. The workshop is free and open to all ages.
Inspired by Scharf's Living Sunshine Caverns, children are invited to paint planters with characters and colorful designs. Each planter will house a plant. The children's works will then be displayed at Rockefeller Center as part of a public art exhibition.
The workshops take place outside 10 Rockefeller Plaza, on the South Plaza between 48th and 49th Streets, and will move inside the lobby of 10 Rockefeller Plaza in case of inclement weather. Registration is for participating children only.
Art Sundae is an ongoing public program presented by Art Production Fund that offers children a hands-on art-making experience led by a contemporary artist. The work created in collaboration between the artist and the children becomes a public art installation that remains on view.
