The list brings together painters, photographers, sculptors and other artists alongside curators, lawyers, philanthropists and museum leaders, figures from across the field charting new paths and offering new ways of seeing.
Working across photography, text, sculpture and performance, Simon has built her practice around the hidden machinery of power: wrongful convictions, restricted government sites, and bloodlines traced across borders and generations. Her recognition coincides with the premiere of a major new body of work, 'Father Country I Do Love You', opening at the Guggenheim, New York, on September 18, 2026, the largest debut of new work the museum has ever staged, tracing the life of an unnamed federal agent, closely tied to her own father's story, through more than forty individual pieces.
