September 6 — 13, 2026

Almine Rech is pleased to announce that Dustin Yellin's short film Goodnight Lamby will be screening at the Palazzo Diedo - Berggruen Arts & Culture in Venice, Italy from September 6 to September 13, 2026.

Dustin Yellin has long described his sculptural practice as a form of "frozen cinema," and here, for the first time, he brings one of his glass collages to life through this short film. Inspired by his three-year-old daughter Zia, who stars alongside Paul Rudd and Chris Rock, the film follows Zia as she ventures into her father's vast sculpture in search of her missing stuffed lamb, Lamby.

Produced by Darren Aronofsky and Justin A. Gonçalves through Primordial Soup, the short blends generative Al with collage-style animation, extending Yellin's handmade materials - collage, photography, glasswork - into a moving, cinematic world. Goodnight Lamby was an official selection at the 2026 Festival de Cannes, and will screen in Palazzo Diedo's Black Box for the duration of the Venice Cinema Biennale.
