Francesco Vezzoli — Book Signing

Almine Rech announces that on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, starting from 5 pm, Francesco Vezzoli will be signing his forthcoming publication, Museums of Tears, on a a free, hop-on hop-off round trip on the Rhine River, as part of 'Floating Pages': a temporary floating bookstore bringing together new artists’ books alongside an expanding archive of previous titles.

Conceived as both a publication and an autonomous artwork, Museums of Tears extends Francesco Vezzoli’s acclaimed exhibition presented at Museo Correr, Venice, in 2024.

Inspired by historical museum guidebooks and Carlo Scarpa’s vision of the museum as a form of emotional choreography, the publication transforms the exhibition guide into a hybrid object: part scholarly document, part fictional archive, and part personal diary. Rather than documenting the exhibition, it becomes a portable museum of memory, beauty, mourning, and artifice.
